ALPHEUS Work Package 1 – What has been done?
WP1 of ALPHEUS is project coordination. Since the start of the project in April, the tasks we have been engaged in are:
• Communicating information among project work packages;
• Solving the gap in the project due to the original partner BT Projects dropping out. Their responsibilities for the fish experiments are being replaced by ATKB as a contracted adviser, and their responsibilities for business development and exploitation by TU Delft’s valorization center;
• Representing ALPHEUS among other H2020 Hydro Cluster projects, including Hydropower Europe, Fit Hydro, AFC4Hydro, and XFlex;
• Organizing regular consortium and WP leaders’ meetings engaging all project members; communication with the Advisory Board;
• Producing administrative deliverables;
• Creating the Mechanical Design team, which is an inter-WP group from WP’s 2, 3, and 4 tasked with the detailed mechanical design that we neglected in the original proposal;
• Setting up a contract with RONAMIC as an adviser for PD turbine design.
